New York City Guide | 5 NYC Dessert Spots You MUST Try

Looking for the most delicious and Instagram worthy desserts in NYC? Don’t worry, I am here to help satisfy your sweet tooth! Here are 5 of my favorite places to get some tasty treats in the New York City area!

1. DŌ Cookie Dough Confections- 550 LaGuardia Pl, Greenwich Village, New York, New York

If you're like me, you like to live life on the edge and sneak spoonfuls of cookie dough while baking cookies. Well if you love cookie dough like I do or don't want to risk getting sick from the batter, you will definitely love DŌ. This sweet shop sells cookie dough treats in all sorts of flavors and styles. You can get their cookie dough in a cup, cone, sundae, or mixed into other deserts. Not to mention you can make your dessert a little more "Instagram worthy" by adding some colorful toppings!

2. Milk Bar- 251 E 13th St, New York, NY 10003

Raise your hand if you like the taste of your milk after your cereal is all gone- Well at Milk Bar, their signature ice cream flavor tastes just like the milk from your cereal bowl. YUM?! To add a little twist to my dessert, I got mine mixed with their Chocolate-covered Pretzel flavor for a saltiest-sweet delight! They also sell a variety of other sweet treats such as cake, cookies, shakes, and more!

3. The Chocolate Room Brooklyn- 51 5th Avenue, Brooklyn NY 11217 & 269 Court St. Brooklyn, NY 11231

Okay, where are my chocolate lovers at?? If you love chocolate more than anything, The Chocolate Room is one place you HAVE to try at least once during your time in New York. This chocolate shop in Brooklyn has a full menu of handmade, decadent and delicious chocolate creations. The ambiance of this location is very cozy and relaxed so it could be great for dates, hang outs, or quick chat!

4. Big Gay Ice Cream- 207 Front St New York, NY 10038

If your looking for a great soft-serve ice cream, you will not be disappointed with Big Gay Ice Cream. They have a ton of flavors to choose from, but "Salty Pimp" is one of my favorites! This fun little ice cream shop has multiple locations over New York City, but my favorite one is located near the South St. Seaport . It has a bit more space and seating, including a cute swing at the front, and is there is a lot to do in the area.

5. Black Tap Craft Burger's & Beer- 529 Broome St, New York, NY 10013

Black Tap has reinvented the way we do milkshakes! This bar has created viral, massive candy-topped, delicious, and Instagram-worthy milkshakes. They have different flavors such as Cookie Milkshake, Birthday Cake, Sweet and Salty and Cotton Candy, along with many more, all of which are worth the hype. Just a note- Be prepared, they usually have quite a line waiting to get into their restaurant so maybe try and get there before they open!
